I never would have thought growing up that I would be the one behind the camera with my husband. You see my father was the one who always had a camera in his hand. I have to admit at times it was annoying but now that I have those pictures of me with my Barbie Dolls and my sister to look back on I'm thrilled he ignored our groans and rolling of the eyes! Not only that but he just recently gave me all the video he had of us on our vacations! How great is that?! It taught me a lesson. Life goes by too quickly. If you don't have these memories captured in photographic form and or video it's like trying to drive without a steering wheel. You just can't do it. Of course marrying someone who has the same passion for photography and who has had a camera in his hand since 13 helps cement that fact. I wish Tom had more photographs from when he was growing up. I guess you could say our mission is to help others preserve their memories. By capturing the Story of Your Life in photographic form you will always have that wheel to steer you back in time.
I would love to tell you I learned photography from my dad but the truth is most of what I learned was taught to me by my best friend who happens to be my husband. Tom graduated from the New York Institute of Photography. He is a great teacher and has taught me the majority of what I know. Together we have continued our education by attending various classes and seminars so we keep up to date on the latest photography techniques and trends.
If you asked what our style is I'd have to say it's emotionally expressive. It's all about capturing you in the moment. Many of our clients have said we are like flies on the wall. There but not seen. Quietly capturing all the moments from your wedding that you didn't even realize were there. It's about your personalities shining through in the images we create for you. Creating a unique experience and one that's totally you is what awaits you when you work with us. You can feel comfortable in the setting of your choice instead of some stuffy studio. In this way we can get very creative with amazing results.
It's been our pleasure to be photographing in Florida for over 13 years! As a child our favorite vacations were going to the beach and now we use that beach and the beautiful gulf to create lasting memories. Oh and talk about tropical backdrops! We have some gorgeous gardens to visit in Florida don't we?
